Less than a half hour northwest of the Vegas Strip, the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort is a slice of golf heaven with three Peter Dye designed courses – Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and The WOLF. Within each course, Dye infused his signature elements such as railroad tie bunkers and sweeping slope changes to ensure each course presents golfers with a different experience. The inaugural course at the Paiute Resort opened in 1995. The risk-reward layout of the closing stretch on Snow Mountain, considered by many golfers to be the best finishing holes in Las Vegas, offers players the chance for a memorable game. With seven water features and no parallel fairways, the design offers wide rye grass fairways, natural rolling terrain separating each hole, and a variety of tee lengths and angles.

The second course of the trio and still reigning staff favorite, Sun Mountain offers golfers charm and challenge equally in the sheer length of its daunting par 5s as well as the crisp finish of the fourth hole – the best par 3 on the property. Known for Mother Nature at her purest, the spectacular views of sky-scraping mountain ranges and vivid wildflower blooms flank this deceptive design of narrower fairways, strategic bunker placement and fast-rolling greens.

The final course opened in 2001 and The WOLF leads the pack of all Las Vegas courses as the longest in Nevada – at 7,604 yards. Recognized for its undulating design complete with steep slope changes and signature holes, the course carries the picturesque feel of vast openness flanking a layout that advises golfers to play smart on both the tee and the green.
