Spread across 26,000 acres of the Ouachita Mountains, Hot Springs Village has breathtaking vistas, sparkling lakes and lush forest. With miles and miles of hiking trails, several lakes and a multitude of outdoor sports, Hot Springs Village is a community unlike any other. Known as the largest gated community in the U.S., Hot Springs Village has grown into one of the top retirement and recreation communities in the nation with property owners from all over the world. Often, those who visit Hot Springs on vacation, find themselves coming back to The Village as residents.
Local amenities include nine golf courses, 13 clay tennis courts, 11 lakes, two full-service marinas and more than 20 miles of nature trails, in addition to bocce ball, lawn bowling and pickleball. Hot Springs is also home to the nation’s largest bridge club.
For those who prefer the performing arts, residents can take advantage of the Ponce de Leon Center, which houses the Ouachita Activities Building, Woodlands Auditorium and the Casa de Carta (House of Cards). As The Village’s performing arts center, the 654-seat Woodlands Auditorium features state-of-the-art sound and lighting and is host to approximately 75 cultural and entertainment events a year.
No matter the age, there is something for everyone at Hot Springs Village.
Granada Golf Club is ranked among the top-ten golf courses in Arkansas. Designed by Ault, Clark & Associates, this par 72 is arguably the most scenic course in the Village with rolling hills, pine forests and amazing views. Its signature hole is the beautiful 18th hole with a waterfall stretching the length of the fairway. One of the most difficult and challenging holes is the 17th, a 465-yard par-4 with a green 60 yards long. Veterans looking to work on their short game will find this course an especially attractive option.
Lots of sand at Granada – look at the picture! I live and play here
