The Lakes
Par: 72
Length: 7,551 yards
Rating: 76.5
Slope: 139
Avalon Lakes is one of Ohio’s premier golf courses. Designed by legendary golf course architect Pete Dye, The Lakes offers 5 sets of tees positions to offer a variety of golf for all skill levels. The par 72 golf course features undulating greens, beautiful terrain, and plenty of lakes.
The signature eighth hole is a majestic peninsula par-3 that plays from 128 yards to 244 yards. The usual pin placement is located only steps from the water’s edge and forces golfers to hit accurate shots to get on the green.
Squaw Creek
Par: 72
Length: 7,372 yards
Rating: 75.2
Slope: 134
Squaw Creek is one of the oldest championship caliber golf courses in the Midwest. Its mature tree lined fairways provide the golfers with a visually magnificent memory. This “walk in the park experience” will test golfers of all skillsets.
Squaw Creek was designed by Stanley Thompson, a highly talented Canadian golf course architect with more than 150 courses in his portfolio. The signature hole is number 12, a short par-4 dogleg left that commands utmost precision off the tee and feather-like touch on and around the green.
Avalon at Buhl Park
Par: 70
Length: 6,369 yards
Rating: 70.6
Slope: 123
A classic country club golf course, Buhl Park has fast and well-guarded greens. Of the Avalon courses, Buhl Park is considered the most challenging course from the member tees. Despite playing shorter than the other courses, golfers will be challenged to hit accurate shots.
The signature hole is 18, which is a truly picturesque par-3 surrounded by water. With a mid to long iron, many golfers bail out right to avoid bringing water back into to play on your 2nd shot. Hit the green, make the putt, and enjoy the beautiful clubhouse, which offers every amenity you can think of.
