Tucked between state forests and nature reserves in the central-west region of Florida, Cabot Citrus Farms is situated to enjoy laid-back southern living, while still in convenient proximity to major urban centers. The property and surrounding areas embody a comforting feel, complete with a notable change of pace.

Cabot Citrus Farms is set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty and is composed of world-class luxury residential, resort and destination golf.

With a natural landscape destined for golf and unlike any other in the Sunshine State, Cabot Citrus Farms features sandy soil, 80-foot elevation changes and expansive natural waste bunkers. Generous rolling fairways are flanked by a unique mix of palmetto trees, towering sand pines and 100-year-old oak trees draped in enchanting Spanish moss.

Cabot Citrus Farms includes two revitalized 18-hole courses, a 9-hole course and an 11-hole par-3 course. This is in addition to a new clubhouse and incredible practice facilities made up of a putting course that spans nearly two acres and a double-ended driving range with TrackMan technology.

Currently, Karoo, The Squeeze and Wedge are open for Preview Play, with a property grand opening slated for September 2024.

Karoo

Par: 72
Length: 7,562 yards
Rating: 75.7
Slope: 142

With a dynamic 18-hole layout, Karoo features rugged aesthetics, multiple routes to pins and bold green contours. Varied tee boxes give players a fresh look at the course’s features each time they play. Thoughtfully planned, Karoo rewards creative short-grass recovery shots around the greens. Golfers will encounter Sandhill Cranes throughout their round, as these elegant birds are known to dance and sing, and their call is a loud trumpeting sound often described as a rolling karoo.

Roost

Par: 72
Length: 7,200 yards
Rating: 74.8
Slope: 132

Roost is an 18-hole course with broad fairways that capitalize on different environments – from the sandy, scrubby areas adjacent to Karoo, to rolling meadows that are sprinkled with flowering dogwoods and native wildflowers, as well as a 40-foot-deep sinkhole.

The designers wanted the land to tell a story, which led them to create a unique 7,200-yard course that is peppered with a number of eye-catching, moss-draped oaks, exuding an Old Florida charm. Golfers will encounter wild Osceola turkeys that roam the course, often heard roosting and seen resting in these trees. A rarity in Florida, the course includes repeated 50-foot elevation changes.

The Squeeze

Par: 38
Length: 2,957 yards

The Squeeze offers nine holes that range from 100 yards to 550 yards, as architect Mike Nuzzo drew inspiration from the world’s best short par 4s to create a course that is full of fun and drama. Playing over varied terrain, each hole at The Squeeze demands different strategies.

The Wedge

Par: 33
Length: 1,000 yards

The 11-hole par-3 course offers huge waste areas, greens with dramatic slopes and lots of varied lies. Golfers will encounter some of Cabot Citrus Farms’ most interesting design features at The Wedge, and the lights located throughout the course mean the party does not stop at dusk.
