Inverness Club is a nationally recognized club, building on a rich heritage to provide its members and guests a memorable experience. They are thoughtful stewards of a historic, world-class golf course. Rooted in Midwestern values and family-oriented, they strive for excellence in a broad range of amenities and activities for their members. Opened in 1903, the club has hosted four U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships. Inverness is the only club to have hosted the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open, and U.S. Junior Amateur Championships. It will host the Solheim Cup in 2021.
This classic Donald Ross design was altered by George and Tom Fazio in preparation for the 1979 U.S. Open. In 2019, golf architect Andrew Green changed the course back to the Ross design. The Inverness Club is unique, with its hilly topography. It challenges golfers to strategically plan each and every shot. Hidden bunkers and creeks may come as a surprise to golfers as they navigate this storied course.
