Pine Needles is the ideal vacation destination for those looking to temporarily step away from today’s fast-paced society and relax at a lodge that has preserved a tradition of honoring a slower pace, the restorative power of a nice bottle of wine, a good cigar on the porch or a stroll among the pines. Established in 1927, Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club offers a casual resort setting featuring 74 recently renovated sleeping rooms, a magnificent championship golf course, a variety of dining options, an outdoor in-ground swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Located about 4 miles from the Village of Pinehurst, N.C. and 75 miles east of Charlotte, Pine Needles is easily accessible by car.

Pine Needles is a championship course that offers character, warmth and comfort. Built in 1927, the course was meticulously restored under the watchful eye of John Fought, who restored the greens to their original glory, dug out the bunkers and restored them with fresh sand and some holes were lengthened to return the shot values that Ross initially intended on this course. Today, the Pine Needles course measures more than 7,000 yards in length.
Consistently ranked as one of the top courses in the nation for women, Pine Needles hosted the U.S. Women’s Open in 1996, 2001 and 2007. It will host the 2nd U.S. Women’s Senior Open in 2018 and the 77th U.S. Women’s Open in 2022.

Impeccably manicured to modern standards, Mid Pines is a classic gem that hosted many national competitions including the 2002 USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. Characterized as a pure Donald Ross course because of how it fits the land where it was built in 1921, the championship course was conceived as a fun course with adequate challenge for members and guests.
