Opened in 1967, Santee Cooper Country Club offers perhaps the most scenic round of golf in the area. Set amid majestic pines and native foliage, this well-conditioned George Cobb layout will test every shot in your bag with its series of beautiful dogleg holes, strategic bunkering and challenging par 3s. Golfers will enjoy the magnificently designed risk-reward par 5s and the course’s elevation changes. Home to the best closing hole in the region, the par-4, 386-yard hole features a panoramic view of Lake Marion.
The Santee Cooper Resort offers a gated, residential golf community where golfers, fishermen, families and active retirees can enjoy the perfect resort lifestyle. In addition to the 18-hole course that winds through the community, finishing on the shores of Lake Marion, residents can also enjoy the water. This friendly community features a pro shop, tennis courts, marina and a private membership pool.
Not to be outdone by the course, the venue includes a state-of-the-art short-game practice area and two driving range areas. The Jeffrey L. and Jennifer R. Kittle Putting Green, the Courtney Cox Cole Practice Range, practice bunkers and short-game practice area, along with the course, are open to the public.
