Formerly known as the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course, the Seminole Legacy Golf Club was recently renovated by the Nicklaus Design Company, and is now one of the top collegiate golf clubs in the U.S.
Originally designed by Bill Amick, the course opened to the public in 1962 and has served as the home of Florida State University Seminole’s men’s and women’s golf teams for a number of years.
Renovation work included a complete redesign of the golf course, with only one hole remaining from the original routing. All tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, greens and cart paths are new. The redesigned course is a 7,800-yard, par 72, sitting on 174 acres. It is home to two ranges and a new 12-hole par three course. Golfers will find the course offers surprising elevation changes of up to 50 feet, with stunning visuals highlighted by 100-year-old oaks and stately pine trees.
Additional amenities include The Burr Family Renegade Grill, a state-of-the-art clubhouse and a fully stocked Golf Pro Shop.
Seminole Legacy Golf Club is located on the campus of Florida State University.
