Home course of the University of Georgia Bulldogs
Set on the rolling terrain of northeast Georgia, the UGA Golf Course is not only a site to behold, but a challenge to play. Built by Robert Trent Jones in 1968, it was renovated by Love Gold Design in 2006. The championship course features six sets of tees that provide a wide range of dimensions and challenges to help golfers of varying abilities enjoy a competitive golf experience.
The charming yet stimulating facility has hosted numerous competitions throughout the years, both at the collegiate and professional levels. Among the events held at UGA is the oldest women’s collegiate tournament in the southern U.S. – the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. Furthermore, the University’s Golf Course has hosted multiple men’s and women’s Southeastern Conference Championships and three NCAA Women’s Championships.
Apart from the numerous well-recognized championships held on the course, it is also a location dedicated to the gathering and fellowship of Georgia University students. Discounted rates are available for UGA students, faculty, staff and alumni on a regular basis, while the general public is welcomed to play.
